About the Journal

Journal of Civic Education Research (JOCER) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by CV Tirta Pustaka Press. The journal was first established and published in 2023 as a scholarly communication platform for disseminating research findings, academic studies, and scholarly perspectives in the field of civic education and related areas.

Since its initial publication, JOCER has served as a forum for researchers, lecturers, educators, practitioners, and students to disseminate research findings and scholarly ideas that contribute to the development of civic education, citizenship studies, and relevant social and educational issues. JOCER focuses on civic education, Pancasila education, character education, civic values, democracy, human rights, civic literacy, national identity, social participation, multicultural education, digital citizenship, and other relevant issues related to citizenship studies and civic life.

The journal welcomes original manuscripts that provide theoretical, empirical, methodological, or practical contributions to the development of civic education and citizenship studies. Interdisciplinary studies are also welcomed, provided that they demonstrate a clear connection to civic education and citizenship studies. JOCER is committed to maintaining the quality of its publications through a peer-review and editorial process and provides Open Access to all published articles. Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Through high-quality and open scholarly publishing, JOCER aims to serve as an academic platform for the exchange of knowledge and the advancement of civic education studies at both the national and international levels.
