Publication Ethics

By submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors agree to this copyright and licensing policy and confirm that their work complies with applicable copyright laws and ethical publishing standards.

The International Journal of Theory and Practice in Education is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical integrity in scholarly publishing. This journal strictly adheres to the principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies these standards consistently throughout the editorial and publication process.

Editorial Responsibilities
The editorial board is responsible for ensuring that all submitted manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of academic merit, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal’s aims and scope. Editorial decisions are made independently and free from any form of discrimination, bias, or commercial influence. Editors ensure the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and manage the double-blind peer review process in a fair, transparent, and timely manner. Any ethical issues, including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or conflicts of interest, are handled in accordance with COPE procedures.

Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers are required to conduct objective, constructive, and confidential evaluations of manuscripts. They must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline review assignments where such conflicts exist. Reviewers are expected to identify relevant published work that has not been cited and to report any suspected ethical misconduct, including plagiarism or redundant publication, to the editor.

Author Responsibilities
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration elsewhere. All data must be accurately presented, and all sources must be properly cited. Authors are required to disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest and to ensure compliance with ethical standards for research involving human participants or other ethical considerations, where applicable.

Any form of ethical misconduct identified before or after publication will be addressed in accordance with COPE guidelines, including manuscript rejection, publication of corrections, or article retraction.
