Copyright

Authors who publish in the Indonesian Journal of Law Research (IJOLARES) retain the copyright of their published work.

Upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication, authors grant IJOLARES a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, preserve, index, and communicate the work to the public in both electronic and printed formats as the original publisher.

The granted license enables the journal to:

  • Publish and disseminate the article through the official journal website and other publishing platforms;
  • Assign and register Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs);
  • Deposit metadata and published articles in indexing databases, abstracting services, institutional repositories, digital archives, and preservation systems;
  • Preserve the integrity and long-term accessibility of the published scholarly record.

Authors remain the copyright holders and may reuse, reproduce, or distribute their published work, provided that appropriate acknowledgment is given to the original publication in IJOLARES.

All articles published in IJOLARES are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.

Under the terms of this license, any user is free to:

  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.

These permissions are granted provided that the following conditions are met:

Attribution (BY)

Users must:

  • Give appropriate credit to the original author(s);
  • Cite IJOLARES as the original publisher;
  • Provide a link to the CC BY-SA 4.0 license;
  • Clearly indicate whether changes were made to the original work.

ShareAlike (SA)

Author Rights

Authors retain the following rights without requesting permission from the journal:

  • Copyright ownership of the published article.
  • The right to use all or part of the article in future books, dissertations, theses, conference proceedings, lectures, or other scholarly works.
  • The right to deposit the published version of the article in institutional repositories, subject repositories, university repositories, or digital archives.
  • The right to share the published article through personal websites, university websites, research networking platforms (such as ResearchGate or Academia.edu), and scholarly communication platforms.
  • The right to use the article for teaching, research, and other educational purposes.
  • The right to distribute printed or electronic copies of the published article.

Authors are requested to acknowledge IJOLARES as the original source of publication whenever the published article is reused or redistributed.

Reader Rights

Readers may, without prior permission from the authors or the publisher:

  • Read and download published articles free of charge.

Third-Party Materials

Authors are solely responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce or reuse any copyrighted material owned by third parties, including but not limited to figures, tables, photographs, illustrations, maps, questionnaires, or extensive textual excerpts.

Where permission is required, authors must obtain written authorization before submission and provide appropriate acknowledgment within the manuscript.

Self-Archiving Policy

IJOLARES permits authors to archive the following versions of their manuscripts:

  • Preprint (before peer review)
  • Accepted Author Manuscript (after peer review and before typesetting)
  • Published Version (Version of Record)

Authors may deposit these versions in:

  • Subject repositories;
  • University repositories;
  • Personal websites;

Authors are requested to include the complete citation of the published article together with the DOI and a link to the official journal webpage.
